Discover Northwood Elementary

At Northwood Elementary, our mission is to ignite a lifelong love of learning by opening the door to a world of discovery. We empower scholars to build strong academic foundations, embrace global citizenship through Mandarin Chinese, and explore diverse career pathways.

Experience Why Families Choose Us

Northwood Elementary is a choice school where scholars explore careers, as well as Chinese language and culture. At Northwood, our scholars learn to be citizens of the world as they interact with classmates from around the world; our student body includes scholars from 33 different countries, with 12 languages that are spoken by our scholars and their families.

Student Supports

Northwood teachers work together to plan engaging lessons that are differentiated to meet the needs of learners in the classroom. In addition, we offer tutoring supports, as well as more intensive interventions for scholars who need those additional supports. Specialized teachers also provide special education services and support for multilingual and academically gifted scholars.

Points of Pride

  • Northwood consistently meets or exceeds growth expectations set by the state.

  • We have over 150 volunteers in our school on a weekly basis.

  • Our faith partners and other community partners support us by providing school supplies, backpacks, funding for field trips, vouchers for our bookfair, and winter wonderland gifts for every scholar.

  • Every day at Northwood is a chance to dream big, try new things, and become your best self--because we are the school Where Dreams Begin!
